Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized in order to transport products and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump which raises the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by one individual.
Pallet trucks must be operated with care to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Machine must be inspected before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle can turn smoothly. The pallet should be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
To lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever situated on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet ahead of you as the momentum could cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Slowly come to a stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
