Narrow aisle forklifts function by increasing the ratio of the storage space to the aisle width. Yale spotlights the single reach NR and the double reach NDR units for aisle widths of eight to ten feet. The Yale Narrow Aisle trucks utilize best-in-class ergonomics and provide a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment which has different control handle and stance configurations.
NR & NDR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To meet a wider range of operations, there are numerous control handle configurations such as the aft stance, the choice of fore, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology provides strong deceleration and acceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been manufactured for quick plugging so as to facilitate more responsive directional changes which combine to increase the amount of loads moved in a shift.
Mast & Reach Assembly: The trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the rigidity and durability of the mast; along with the gusseted rear frame weldment, as well as the reach assembly carriage which are reinforced for long life.
Power Lowering: To greatly improve the overall throughput and production, Yale provides industry leading uploading speeds and lowering speeds.
Regenerative Lowering: The regenerative lowering is a terrific function which maintains lower oil operating temperature while reducing battery changes per shift.
Electronic Steering: To greatly reduce energy, the electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the steer effort is actually technician adjustable in order to reduce operator exhaustion. During the start-up process, drive tire centers start automatically.
Order Selectors: The narrow aisle trucks and the very narrow aisle trucks are also known as order pickers. These machines are designed for the manual handling of racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors lift both the cargo and the operator to its required height. This height could be in excess of 30 feet. Like the majority of turret trucks they are generally guided by rail or wire when utilized in very narrow aisle applications.
