JLG Telehandlers Minnesota
John L. Grove chose to retire after spending numerous years working side by side with his brother to establish their crane construction company into a world leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country journey in their R.V. After that particular journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading maker of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling equipment.
In the R.V. trip, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their trip. Tragically, while they visited the Hoover Dam, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a machine that can safely and quickly hoist people into the air to be able to carry out maintenance and construction functions.
When John and his wife returned from the journey, John decided to take action. He and two dear friends started a business and then bought a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During the year 1970, with an original team of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that first machinery are still being integrated into the current machinery
The company has come a very long way since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country trip and have grown dramatically since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Numerous innovative machinery are designed to help clients be more productive and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being at the forefront of the industry. The business takes operator comfort into account very seriously. They strive to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the driver can be as effective as possible.
